I am Devra Batz, age 50. I work as a critical care nurse in Reno where I was raised. I love the outdoors and am blessed to have the Sierras as my backyard. I have a friend (Sherry) who has had a dream to ride her bicycle across America. I was the one she asked to accompany her. We have both volunteered at Camp Heartland for several years and decided this would be a great way to raise money for our kids. I am excited and nervous to undertake this new  adventure.  

Our journey will begin in Seattle, Washington we will head east over the Cascades and into Sandpoint, Idaho. From Idaho, we head to Missoula, Montana and Glacier National Park. Continuing East across Montana we'll head into North Dakota, stopping in Rugby to visit friends. Leaving North Dakota we will turn a little to the south and peddle to Willow River, Minnesota where we will visit the children at Camp Heartland and deliver the donation funds. From there we follow the Mississippi south to Clinton, Illinois where we will turn left and head east into Chicago where we will meet up with family and friends for a much needed break. Then it's back on the road to Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York where again we hope to meet up with friends who will spend a week riding with us through New York. Then it's Vermont, New Hampshire, and last but not least Bar Harbor, Maine!
